Video game developer and publisher, Harmonix, is increasing the difficulty of their music video game, "Rock Band 4" to brutal.

According to the report by IGN, Harmonix will be bringing a more challenging setting of the game in the form of Brutal Mode, which will be included in the first major update for "Rock Band 4," since its release last October 2015.

As mentioned in the report by Game Rant, the Brutal Mode will add more notes to every song, making it more difficult for those who have already conquered the Expert mode.

Nonetheless, more notes is not all the mode will offer, the gaming news outlet cited that the Brutal mode will feature a new aspect Harmonix calls, Brutal Bar -- a "sliding line" in the track that will make the notes passing through it invisible. Thus, players will be required to depend on their knowledge about the song notes, and perhaps rely more on song cues in order to survive the game.

Players who are performing great will have an increasing difficulty in the Brutal mode as the Brutal Bar goes up along their performance. Nonetheless, if gamers start missing notes, the Brutal Bar will go down, allowing the gamers to see the notes for a longer period. The Brutal Bar will go up again when gamers hit their stride and begin to perform better.

Nonetheless, as cited by Game Rant, the upcoming update for "Rockband 4" will also include improvements, bug fixes and tweaks to the existing features of the game, such as in-game notifications, Activity Feed, and Taunt System in its Score Challenge features.

Additionally, the upcoming update will also provide improvements in the Calibration system, Full Combo recognition and Indicator, as well as the addition of more songs result details and the increase of the variable breakneck speed to up to 2.5 times.

The major update for "Rock band 4" will come for free this December 8, 2015.

"Rock Band 4" is a music video game that offers a "unique social play of a full band experience." The game boasts a next-generation microphone, wireless drums and guitar, as well as a revamped world tour campaign mode, ensuring players an immersive Rock Band experience.

The game is currently available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
