With 2016 comes big game releases. With no news until now about " Red Dead Redemption 2," naturally fans are bound to come up with their own theories or find ways to gather data about the highly-anticipated game.

As for Rockstar, the company has remained mum about "Red Dead Redemption 2" in 2016, but it is worth noting that it has not exactly ruled it out. As such, fans remain hopeful.

In fact, there have been hints by Rockstar executives that another "Red Dead" could be the next big game of the company.

The latest "Red Dead Redemption 2" rumors come from Reddit, with multiple reports claiming Redditor "AnonDN1978" allegedly found a former Rockstar employee revealing details of the "upcoming" game as revenge.

According to wccftech.com, AnonDN1978 said a Rockstar ex-employee leaked the details because of his/her former "d**k" boss. The Redditor further explained that the new game will be called "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the Old West" which will follow the lives of Seth and Irish, who were both from the previous game.

In addition, the game will allow the purchase of safe houses, as well as a gang system that allows players to join gangs or law enforcement officers.

While plausible, the new "Red Dead Redemption 2" rumors from the Redditor is suspiciously akin to Rockstar's "GTA 5," therefore this remains doubtful.

According to The Inquisitr, the new rumors could very well be just somebody mixing "Red Dead Redemption" and previous GTA games to make a plausible story. The idea of a "Red Dead Redemption 2" has also beguntwo to three years, and up to now Rockstar has remained silent.

Meanwhile, the ex-Rockstar employee of the new rumors, Daniel Ross (thndr87) reportedly said on an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session:

"Hey, Danny, long time/first time...[expletive] this O&A nonsense and lets get to some real news. WTF does Rockstar have on deck?"
Ross: "Really? Dumbass. Really? Two."

Fans took "Really Dumbass? Really? Two" to be RDR2.

This seems like a confirmation, however, the facts aren't convincing.

According to iDigital Times, the fact that Ross isn't working for Rockstar anymore is questionable. In addition, he only worked on GTA 5, which means he could have fabricated his claims.

The website adds that "Red Dead Redemption" is technically "Red Dead Two," since "Red Dead Revolver" had been the first entry in the series.

Unfortunately, all the rumors, while plausible, could amount to nothing. A "Red Dead Redemption 2" in 2016 is logical, but as noted by The Inquisitr, the gaming industry isn't exactly logical. The only truth right now is a "Red Dead Redemption." As for the "2," that isn't really predictable.

Do you think Rockstar could still make a "Red Dead Redemption 2"?
