Season 11 Episodes 9 and 10 of “Bones” will not be airing on Thanksgiving week. However, the midseason finale will certainly thrill fans as Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) go undercover to solve a murder mystery. There are also rumors that a major character might die in the next episodes.
Episode 9, titled “The Cowboy in the Contest,” and Episode 10, titled “The Doom in the Boom,” will both air on Dec. 10, 2015 and will showcase a lot of action.
The Episode 9 synopsis on SpoilerTV showed Booth and Brennan going undercover to attempt to solve a murder case. They will have to investigate by getting involved in an Old West-style shooting contest. A promo video showed the cowboy avatars of the two investigators. The video also showed Angela asking why the victim appeared to have been killed at the OK Corral.
Meanwhile at Jeffersonian, Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) will contemplate on their future. They will talk about the current circumstances of their lives, as well as their plans for their family.
Cam (Tamara Taylor) will spend some time with photographer Sebastian Kohl (Gil Darnell).
In Episode 10, a police officer was killed, and the news immediately spread throughout Jeffersonian, surprising the FBI and residents. Booth was given the responsibility to investigate the case. Leslie Green, a behavioural analyst, was tasked to accompany Booth in solving the situation. Green will most likely make behavioural assessments to help Booth determine the killer.
While in disguise, Booth will be Buck, while Brennan will be Wanda. However, they will not be going to the event as a couple. The two will be strangers to each other while undercover. Brennan will have doubts about the task, since she believes that Booth has always dreamed of being a cowboy.
Executive producer Michael Peterson said in a TVGuide report that Booth will be more interested in the task than Brennan. She will initially not join Booth, but later understand how it was necessary. The two have been married for a long time, so the showrunners thought it would be interesting to try the new dynamic of having the two work as strangers.
Furthermore, TV Line reported that the midseason finale of “Bones” Season 11 will present a major character experiencing a heartbreaking and unimaginable loss. There are speculations that one of the major characters in the series might die. Many predict that it will be Arsatoo (PejVahdat), or another favorite individual.
