The first ever official photo for the "Wonder Woman" movie has been recently unveiled. 

E Online reports that actress Gal Gadot, who will be playing the role of Wonder Woman, posted on her Instagram Account a picture from the set of the upcoming film. The 30 year-old Israeli actress stated on her post that while the movie was almost 75 years in the making, production for the film has finally gotten underway.

Shooting will be done primarily in three different locations and in three different countries namely UK, France and Italy.

IGN reports that the full cast of the film has also been revealed. One of the biggest names added to the cast is Robin Wright, who has starred in such award winning movies such as "The Princess Bride," and "Forrest Gump".

Also reported to be part of the main cast of the film are Chris Pine ("Star Trek"), Danny Huston ("Clash of the Titans", "X- Men Origins: Wolverine"), David Thewlis ("Harry Potter"), Ewen Bremner ("Trainspotting"), Said Taghamoui ("GI Joe: Rise of Cobra"), Elena Anaya ("Van Helsing"), and Lucy Davis ("Shaun of the Dead").

While it hasn't been revealed what particular role Wright will be playing it has been rumored that the actress is taking the role that was supposed to be for Nicole Kidman.

Director Patty Jenkins has also revealed that this will be an origins movie for Wonder Woman, but it is still unknown on which of the comic origins will the film follow.

Wonder Woman or Princess Diana was created by her mother Hippolyta out of clay which was given powers by the Greek God Zues. These powers include the beauty of Aphrodite, the strength of Demeter, wisdom from Athena, speed and flight from Hermes, eyes of the hunter from Artemis, and unity with beasts from Hestia.

Wonder Woman will be making her cinematic debut during the "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" film while her solo movie is set for release on June 23, 2017.
