The Apple iPad Pro benchmark test is trending right now as the new device is being described in the video as sticking "a knife in the heart of laptops," meaning that it's super powerful.

The surprising result of the Apple iPad Pro benchmark test? It has outdone other high-end devices such as the MacBook Pro, Retina MacBook and the Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

BGR CEO Time Cook said that Apple's iPad Pro is the flawless replacement to daily mainstream devices. With the latest results of the Apple iPad Pro benchmark test, it is proving itself worthy of such a purpose.

It is perhaps safe to assume that the iPad Pro wasn't built to be a tablet though it looks like one.

According to Apple Insider, the iPad Pro's specs include the following:

  •  Dual core A9X chip set
  •  2.25 GHz
  •  4GB RAM

These specs in itself are enough to outperform other Apple devices in the market. The iPad Pro is also measured at 12.9 inches, comparable to its competition, the 13-inch MacBook Pro and Microsoft Surface Pro 4. In the single core tests, the iPad Pro also beat both devices, running faster than any of the two

As for its graphics, the iPad Pro's the A9X chipset is a better and more powerful choice that devices available in the market this time, according to Yibada.

In addition to its powerful performance, the iPad Pro also comes with several high-end Apple accessories such as the Smart Keyboard and the Apple Pencil.

In a Forbes review, the Smart Keyboard cover reportedly provides a better performance than an ordinary tablet. When compared to the iPad Mini, the iPad Pro is more advisable for writing. The device works well while sitting on lap, and while wobblier than a laptop, it is workable.

The Smart Keyboard is strongly suggested for those who need to get a lot of writing done. It reportedly works well as any laptop does, but compared to a Corsair gaming keyboard, the Corsair is faster.

As for the Apple Pencil, the price is a setback, and it's not for everyone. However, the Forbes review claims that artists would love it while writing would be extra enjoyable with it.

The iPad Pro's price is $799 while rival Microsoft Surface Pro 4 costs $899.

With the iPad Pro outperforming the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 in the benchmark test and with it price lower than its rival, the iPad Pro sure sounds more appealing.
