Apple continues its drive to jack up iPhone sales using various strategies to somehow cover lost ground resulting from poor sales on the latest iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.

The dip in sales forecast for the latest iPhone iterations has been linked to high cost and an issue involving the device’s 3D Touch.

Just the other day, it was reported that India was offering discounts already through a buyback program for the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus which could go as high as $500 (depending on the iPhone that would be traded in.

New iPhones are priced start $934 to $1,386 over in India and such is believed to be something that has thrown back users from getting the latest iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.

On another front, there are alleged issues with the new pressure-sensitive touch gesture. Apparently the new feature has a handful of apps that put it to good use and hence somehow accounting for the poor sales flock.

In light of this said issue, Apple has already slashed orders by 10 percent on hardware components due to the weak demand as reasoned by analysts over at Credit Suisse.

This thus points to lower iPhone unit builds for the fourth quarter and also a lowered planned rate of iPhone production for next year from 242 million to 222 million.

Regardless of the setbacks, Apple is still expected to reap dividends from the latest iPhone variant, particularly with the Holidays upon us. In all, the incremental rise on the number of folks getting hold of an iPhone is expected to continue to swell.

The continued spike in potential iPhone owners is attributed to the fact that new deals that would be offered by Apple and its partner retailers are expected spur up sales for the latest iPhone variant.

For its part, Apple has a new upgrade plans which allows aspiring iPhone owners to easily get a device via monthly installments. This way, the high price will not be hard on the pocket of potential customers which go as low as $36.58 for the iPhone 6S 16 GB version.

These plans are expected to be taken up by consumers who may be wary of the hefty price for the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus who are looking to upgrade from their old iPhones.

With the upgrade plans and the expected deals from various retailers expected to plague the market soon, Apple may just see its Christmas 2015 record beat last year’s performance though the issue on how small (or large) is something yet to be seen.
