The Grammy-winning singer Adele had previously talked about unexpectedly enjoying acting while making the video for her current single "Hello."

And now, it has been reported that the British artist will be delving a bit deeper into the world of acting with a cameo appearance in the movie "Hello" director Xavier Dolan is working on.

"Adele is being lined up by the French Canadian director for a cameo role in his English-language debut, 'The Death And Life Of John F. Donovan,'" MailOnline said. "The vocal powerhouse would appear alongside an all-star cast including Jessica Chastain, Kathy Bates, Kit Harington and Susan Sarandon."

Adele reportedly won't be making original music for the film. When reached for comment, the artist or her spokespersons declined to respond. Dolan has also not commented on the said reports.

In an interview with KISS FM, before the release of her new single, Adele had confessed that she enjoyed acting in the video for the track.

"I feel like a bit of c*** after saying for all these years I'd never act, because I really enjoyed it," she said. "I'm sure I'll get some flak for this, but I actually would like to act after working with Xavier. I would be in a film for him, definitely."

"I don't like it when those singers start acting, it makes them mediocre. But I don't quite know what I'd be cast as anyway," she added.

And now, it appears Adele will be getting what she wished for. Not that Dolan's unexcited about working with her, as it was he who told the artist she was a natural in front of the lens.

"She is one of the most drop dead gorgeous people I've ever seen in my life," the 26-year-old filmmaker said of the British songstress, as noted by The New York Times.

Adele had shed tears for the video, thanks to Dolan's direction. The effort paid off, as it earned 27 million views in just 24 hours, breaking a previous YouTube record held by Taylor Swift.

The upcoming film is about an actor "whose life is turned upside down when a gossip columnist (Jessica Chastain) exposes his private correspondence with an 11-year-old fan," MailOnline said.

With that as a plot, and not much details about the movie, we can only wonder what role Adele will play. Will she appear as herself? Will she do a blink-and-you'll-miss-her part? Expect more information to leak in the next few weeks or months.
