Blizzard entertainment recently provided some information about the upcoming patch for “Diablo III.” According to the game developer, there will be a new area, plus a couple of environments have also been expanded.

IGN revealed that the new “Diablo III” patch, version 2.4.0, will feature a completely new area called Greyhollow. The Eternal Woods and Royal Quarters were also expanded to provide added bounties. There will be revamped set items and a new set of challenges to be presented as “Set Dungeons”. Furthermore, the patch will bring the new “Empowered Rifts” feature, 40 new Legendary powers, additional space to store loot, action combat and an enhanced user interface. Playing the Season Journey will allow players to earn up to 10 additional Stash spaces.

PC gamers will notice season journey changes, such as the removal of the new “Seasonal Legendaries,” beginning with Season 5. All Legendary items in Patch 2.4.0 will quickly become available to players regardless of their current participation in the season. Players can also use a non-seasonal hero, bring them down to level 1 and take out all their gear. Any gear removed from a hero in such a manner will be mailed to the player in the non-season automatically.

Tech Times cited that the new Greyhollow Island will only be accessible to gamers through the Adventure mode. The area will feature several strange creatures, as well as a lot of threats. The Eternal Woods and The Royal Quarters were previously inaccessible to heroes of Sanctuary. The two environments can also be accessed via Adventure mode. The Ruins of Sescheron will expand to The Eternal Woods. Leroic’s Manor will provide access to The Royal Quarters.

Players can get the Set Dungeons by acquiring a six-piece set and finishing the objectives. The Set Dungeons will reportedly help players learn and master their sets thoroughly. When a player collects all six pieces of a class set, they will receive a clue that will lead to a specific dungeon made for the set. The Empowered Rifts allows gamers to spend gold to receive a bonus roll, upon finishing a Greater Rift successfully. Completing Empowered Rifts will also provide players the chance to upgrade their Legendary Gems, Game Spot wrote. There may be new Kanai Cube recipes and a Buff UI tracking update.

Blizzard stated that the new patch will become available in the weeks after, BlizzCon, which happened on Nov. 6, 2015. More updates and details on the upcoming patch are expected soon.
