Apple iOS 9.1, 9.2 Jailbreak to be Available Soon? [Rumors]

There are rumors that jailbroken versions of the Apple iOS 9.1 and iOS 9.2 will soon become available to the public before the end of 2015. According to tech experts, Apple’s security features may have been enhanced in the new software considering how the expected jailbreak models were late.

Jailbreaking is described as the method of eliminating restrictions imposed by iOS on hardware by running the device on software exploits, Yibada wrote. Users are expecting hacking groups like Team Pangu, to offer jailbroken versions of the iOS 9.1 and 9.2. Many speculate that the cracked models will be released before the end of 2015 or in the first quarter of 2016.

Scribbal reported that the new iOS that Pangu released to jailbreakers include 9.0.1 and 9.0.2, but users cannot update their Apple devices to 9.1 or 9.2 at the moment, because it would be difficult to return to 9.0.2. Those who already upgraded to 9.1 or 9.2, the only option is to wait for a hacker to launch new jailbreaking tools that will particularly cater to the software. At present, there are no successfully jailbreakers. Zerodium previously started a challenge called “iOS 9 Bug Bounty,” which paid $1 million to the hacker who successfully cracked iOS 9.1 and 9.2. One anonymous hacking team came up with a version, although Zerodium will not likely release it to the public. However, fans remain optimistic that jailbreak versions of the upgraded OS will become available soon.
