After hitting Poland users last month, could the Android 6.0 Marshmallow be incrementally expanding its coverage soon.

LG hasn’t exactly impressed when it comes to releasing Android OS updates but it seems that the Korean company has made some tweaks to make sure that the Android 6.0 M does come out earlier than previous years.

Just last month, LG G4 users in Poland were the first in line to get the Android 6.0 M update. The roll out of the latest Android OS was scheduled towards the end of the month which is a good sign that other global LG G4 owners could be getting their Android OS update soon.

And now, word has it that Korea is the next one in line. Android 6.0 M for the Korean market has started rolling out only though the release has been set in varying phases.

So with Poland and a larger Korea customer base receiving the Android 6.0 M update, could other regions follow suit?

With the headway that LG has gone, it may only be a matter of time before the Android OS update becomes available in other major regions in North America, Europe and Asia. Of the mix however, North America could be at the tail-end, seeing how the slowdowns involving US and Canada are right now.

Word about the Android 6.0 M rollout was hinted in mid October when the Korean company made an update to the supporting documents on its site.

At that time, it was the LG G3 and the G4 likely to be among the first devices to get that Android push and apparently this was evident when Poland (and now Korean) began getting the Android 6.0 M update.

Among the new features that the latest Android 6.0 M has to offer include a new app permissions feature, Google Now on Tap, new Chrome features, an Android Pay mobile payment system, and new fingerprint APIs.

The update will also bring new Silent features, including a Do Not Disturb mode which blocks all sounds and/or notifications. One other interesting feature is Doze which was apparently made to help save on battery use and possibly improve on a smartphone’s power management.

These and a lot more are expected to be enjoyed by LG G4 owners pretty soon. For reference purposes, here are the LG G4 devices pegged to receive the latest Android 6.0 M via Android Central:

  •  LG-F500K
  • LG-F500L
  • LG-F500S
