The "Warcraft" movie is something that fans of the games and lore have been waiting for for a very long time.
However, it seems that the wait for the movie might soon be over, as IGN reports that Blizzard will be revealing the official trailer for the film within this week.
The announcement was made official through the Twitter account of Duncan Jones, who is the director of the film. On the tweet, there is a picture of an Orc, most likely Durotan, with the caption stating that the official release for the trailer will be in four days' time, which means the trailer will be released on Friday, November 6, 2015.
From what we know so far about the film, Jones is casting a conflict in which both sides, the Alliance and the Horde, have equal pros and cons. Jones set this up because he wanted the audience to be torn on which side to actually root for. This actually relates to the games well as many players have been debating for years which side is actually in the right.
The story will revolve around the first Orc and Human war, wherein the Orcs had just drank the blood of the demon Mannaroth and are being forced to cross to Azeroth through the first Dark Portal. Many of the classic heroes from both sides will be seen in the film, and it will bring to life the events from the game "Warcraft: Orcs and Humans."
Travis Fimmel of the TV show "Vikings" is set to play the legendary Paladin Sir Anduin Lothar, who is tasked to lead the Alliance army. On the opposite side, Toby Kebbel, who played Koba in the "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," will be playing Durotan, the exiled leader of the Frostwolf Clan. Durotan is notably against the invasion of Azeroth and is also the father of Thrall, one of the most important characters in the "World of Warcraft" video game.
The film will also bring to the screen the most lifelike CGI to date as the Orcs will be almost entirely CGI while the Alliance side will be mostly live actors on the screen. ILM is the company that is in charge of the CGI for the orcs, and from the scenes that have been leaked online, the look and feel of the orc horde are phenomenal.
Currently, the "Warcraft" movie is set for a June 10, 2016 release date. A short teaser trailer is already available via Youtube, but for those who cannot wait to see the teaser, check below:
