"Destiny: The Taken King" Trials of Osiris has been released last Friday, Oct. 30, 2015. As players try to course through the game mode, game developer Bungie has let the Destiny community know that they are in full force in maintaining the integrity of the game and the event, guaranteeing that cheaters will not be tolerated.

In its official Twitter account, Bungie announced that their security team is always on the lookout to catch and prevent possible cheaters on the "Trials of Osiris" while warning those who are thinking to cheat that they will be issuing "multi-months trials bans."
Besides a long-term ban, Bungie mentioned in its website that those who will be caught cheating will also "lose access" to the gears and items related to the activity or mode where they are banned. This includes weapons, armors, consumables, bounties, missions and vanity items.
There is also the possibility of being permanently banned from the "Destiny" game itself or in a specific in-game mode or activity.
Game Rant reported that being caught cheating even once will result to the ban while those who are associated with cheating and cheaters will also be punished.
To recall, Latinos Post previously reported that the Trials of Osiris in the Taken King expansion of "Destiny" has received major changes which made it more competitive.
Trials of Osiris game mode has a new matchmaking system which pit players against other players who are on the same or near their level. Besides making the journey of reaching the Lighthouse much more meaningful, the competition obviously became fiercer and more difficult.
Additionally, with the new loot system and a promise of a strong endgame gear reward which was described to match those gears which can defeat the hard mode version of titular "Taken King" Oryx, the stakes have been much higher than ever before.
However, along with this increased competition and better rewards is the threat of some players delving into cheating in order to easily get through the game mode and get the reward.
In the Game Rant report, it was mentioned cheating has been common in Trials of Osiris given that the PvP nature of the mode makes it really intense. It was also highlighted activities such as "lag switching," "DDosing," and quitting while in the middle of the game as the common strategies of players in Trials of Osiris.
Currently, the Bungie website noted that they are "actively investigating" manipulation reports in the Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris game modes which, as mentioned, can result to restrictions or bans in the crucible if confirmed.
