When it was announced that Ben Affleck will play as Batman for the "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice," there were too much objection and aversion from fans. They want Christian Bale but the production went and everyone moved on, accepting of the fact that Affleck will be Bruce Wayne.
However, a fan from Brazil is not ready to move on just yet. Writing for the Brazilian site Total Spoilers, an editor named "Rick" is theorizing that Affleck may be Batman but he is not Bruce Wayne. The long piece from "Rick", first reported by Movie Pilot, claims that "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" is actually in the Nolan universe. Jennifer Garner's estranged husband is Deathstroke aka Slade Wilson, another superhero who also became Batman in the "Outsiders" comic book according to the theory.
"Rick" noted that Deathstroke has his own butler, so much so that Jeremy Irons is playing a non-Alfred butler character in "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice." Irons is the legendary William Randolph Wintergreen, Deathstroke's butler. The strongest supposition is that the batsuit in the Zack Snyder's film looks similar to the suit worn by Deathstroke as batman in "Outsiders" comic. Finally, Affleck's most memorable line from the trailer, "Do you bleed? You will" is very similar to a famous quote from Deathstroke - "I will make you bleed" - which he uttered in the game "Injustice Gods Among Us."
The piece from Total Spoiler said the marketing and teasers for "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" were intentionally misleading to hide this ultimate plot twist. This will only be revealed when the film bows down in theaters come March 25, 2016.
As previously reported by the Latinos Post, the synopsis of the film posted on the official Warner Bros website reads: "Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of her it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before."
Chris Terrio wrote the cript of the film based on a screenplay by David Goyer. Gal Gadot will star as Diana Prince and Wonder Woman. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also be in the film. Jesse Eisenberg will star as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as the butler. Holy Hunter will also be in the film and Jason Momoa will be appearing in a brief role as Aquaman.
