This poor cat! Its facial expression alone is indicative of how much it hates dressing up. The furry little creature nuzzles its head into cute and tiny paper costumes all the while wearing an expression of pure disdain and possibly boredom. The music sure does not help as the monotonous piano melody screams boredom.

The video, which is nearly 2-minutes long, pictures Maru the cat in a number of different costumes drawn on paper. Maru poses as a bunny, a panda, a lion, a cow - ya know, all of the most beloved four-legged friends.

No part of the animal kingdom is off limits. Maru takes on winged animals as well. Maru strikes as pose as a penguin and an owl. Towards the end, another cat stops by just to watch all of the fun Maru gets to have.

Maru's owner also created a highlight reel of backstage shots, which ensue after the "end" credits.

The video has gone viral since it was uploaded on Oct. 23 garnering over 110,000 views.

According to the comments section many viewers pondered how Maru could be such a great paper costume model. Was Maru was used to playing dress up? Do Maru and Maru's owner usually create videos? All is revealed as the video continues.

Behind-the-scenes footage is tacked onto the end of dress up session. It reveals exactly how Maru was able to remain so poised within the hole-in-head type attraction one usually sees at the fair.

A cardboard box is attached to the end of the drawing, which has a hole in the face. Maru squeezes himself into the tiny confined space, as cats usually like to do. He then reveals his head through the hole cut out of a cardboard drawing of another animal. Voila, cardboard costumes for a cat.

Some viewers did not see this coming and subsequently commended the owner for being so creative.

@Stephanie Cronk "I liked getting to see "how it was made."

@FoeverIrina "it turns out Maru is in his adorable box, I didn't see this at onse!"

@Jeff Missinne "A great example of "the art of the reveal"...How did you ever get Maru to tolerate all those "costume changes? Simple...he's really doing the thing he loves best...climbing into a cardboard box! Loved it!

Maru should be proud.
