It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a Ford Mustang?

Joyce Kingsley was watching television when she heard a crash, a very loud crash, from up above. She assumed it was the weather. She was wrong.

"Kaboom" is how she described the noise to Fox News. Rightfully so, a boom from above is usually assumed to be some sort of rolling thunder - try a red Ford Mustang.

According to MLive.com, a driver lost control of their car on interstate-69 in Perry Township, Michigan. "Police say they believe the driver of the Mustang was going about 60 mph on eastbound I-69 about 4:30 p.m." on Monday.

The Michigan State police statement describes the scene as other drivers saw it: the red car veered across all lanes, from the right side of the road, across the median, and back again.

"Witnesses said the Mustang left the roadway just west of M-52 and went through several bushes, trees, a fence and yard before coming to rest at the peak of a roof of a home near the road, according to the release."

Kingsley's home is nestled next to a hill and the roof is basically level with the ground.

"I was just watching TV inside. I had it up pretty loud -- but this was much louder," Kingsley said.

The driver luckily left the accident unharmed. However, they were taken to the Sparrow Hospital in Lansing and was treated for low blood sugar.

The car has since been rolled off the roof of Kingsley's Perry Township home and towed away.

"The driver is extremely lucky," Trooper Ben Rowell said.

83-year old Kingsley is unscathed as well. Her roof was not so lucky, as it will need a little fixing. For now, she has placed a tarp over it.

"It could've been a lot worse," she said. "I'm glad everyone is all right."

Interesting enough, this is not the first an incident like that has been heard of. In 2013, a Cadillac wound up on the top of a Glendale, California home. Driver, Robert Wynn, said his brakes went out while driving on a steep road. His airbags deployed thus rendering him unable to see. As Huffington Post cites, "No one -- not Wynn, nor his wife Galina in the passenger seat, nor the 80-year-old resident inside the home -- was injured."

Phew!
