In anticipation of the November 10 release of "Fallout 4", fans must be wishing the days would pass like a flash so they can get their hands on the much-awaited title. It doesn't help calm their anticipation that more information about the game keeps emerging in the run up to launch day, despite the official announcement of its release.

Recently, the buzz is that the game reportedly has Nvidia GameWorks effects - an update that probably will raise a few eyebrows among fans.

"We've learned that Nvidia has been working with the studio to implement effects from the GameWorks library into the game for some time," WCCF Tech divulged. "These will include things ranging from ambient occlusion to shadowing and lighting effects."

"However, it's not been made clear to us whether the game will launch with all of these GameWorks graphical effects or if some will be added to the game via incremental patches post-launch," it added.

Users may take a step back at this development as GameWorks "has a rocky history marred by scandals since launch, with some developers accusing Nvidia of taking control over the technical quality of their game by using its libraries to tip the scale of performance in favor of its own GPUs over those made by other manufacturers such as Intel and AMD," Tech Times noted.

"Electronic Arts' Johan Andersson, technical director of Frostbite, at one point even called it an 'unusable black box,'" the tech news portal went on.

However, according to WCCF Tech, the GameWorks "Fallout 4" will reportedly not be anything like previous titles that had received some flak for performance issues and graphics bugs.

"'Fallout 4' will be a much closer affair to GTA V, a fairly well optimized title across the board with collaborative efforts from both Nvidia and AMD," the site explained. "It's also said that the game will void of any vendor specific badging, so we're not likely to see the game being paraded by Bethesda as having any GameWorks features."

Despite this, some may be baffled with the Nvidia infusion as "Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti and the AMD Radeon HD 7870 are actually nothing alike."

"Bethesda says at least an Nvidia GTX 550 Ti 2GB or an AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB are required for optimum graphics performance, even though the HD 7870 is faster than the GTX 550," Tech Times observed. "It is actually more at par with the GTX 580 or the GTX 660."

However, as these reports ave not yet been confirmed, we'll only know for sure how everything works once the game is released.
