European Wii U console owners will have the chance to purchase "Resident Evil 4" on the E-shop for GBP £17.99. Gamers who order the game before Nov. 5, 2015 can also avail of a 25 percent discount, and Game Rant reports that the digital copy will be available starting October 29, 2015.

Believed by many to be the best game in the entire "Resident Evil" franchise library, "Resident Evil" was most recently made available for the Wii in the form of "Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition." The Wii edition of the game was widely praised for its update to the sometimes-sluggish controls.

With the previous re-release of "Resident Evil 4", which made both Nintendo and Capcom a lot of money, it's no wonder why both companies would like to have their gamers experience survival horror once again. However, Cinemablend is reporting that the version of the game that Wii U owners will be getting includes a port of the "Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition," which some gamers are not happy with.

Considering that Wii U is the next generation of consoles after the Wii, why would the company not make updates similar to what they did for the Wii edition? Lots of tech upgrades to the console itself could help players out with inventory control, as well as the difficult sniper sections of the game.

Gamers are also asking for a graphics upgrade since Capcom has been doing HD remakes of their past "Resident Evil" games. With the success of "Resident Evil HD", Capcom has announced that its business plans for future "Resident Evil" remakes will be in HD. Thus far, it seems that the graphics that the Wii U version will be getting is still the same as the Gamecube graphics.

It is also quite a mystery why Nintendo is only releasing the game on the European E-Shop with no news if the game will ever be available for the North American gamers. The numbers of previous releases of "Resident Evil 4" has seen that the game is still quite popular in the United States, with sales going over first expectations for the game.

The release of "Resident Evil 4" on the Wii U will certainly mean that a version for the other next version consoles should be available soon as well. Owners of these consoles will have to wait from further word from Capcom on when the release will be.
