Just a couple of days ago, we did post about the special event happening in New York City where Motorola and Verizon Wireless are on the verge of showcasing their new line of Droid Smartphones.

Invites were already sent out but two devices that are likely to headline the event are the Droid Turbo 2 and the Droid Maxx 2.

The big news back then was that these devices would come out with shatter-proof displays which would headline its expected features.

As far as the Droid 2 Turbo is concerned, expected features for the said device include a 5.5-inch (2560x1440 pixel) display, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, an interesting 21MP main camera, a 5MP front-facing camera and a 3,760 mAh battery.

While the said specs seem to be an impressive mix, the latest word on the Droid Turbo 2 seems to be the battery life.

The information comes no less from an info sheet from Verizon Wireless which practically confirms everything earlier mentioned.

What it didn’t mention though is the life span of the 3,760 mAh battery which as it turns will allegedly be good for use for up to 48 hours between charges.

The phone will come armed with rapid charging technology where 15 minutes of charge time on wall outlets will render as much as 13 hours of life.

Aside from the battery, the info sheet practically confirms all the ones stressed in that old post. In fact, there was one other feature left out, the microSD slot on board which will provide users up to 2TB of added storage just in case the 32GB internal one is not enough.

All of these are expected to be made official by next Tuesday where the Droid Turbo 2 is expected to be among the main stars alongside the Droid Maxx 2. It is believed that more devices could be out as well though there is no hint as to what other variants could be on hand.

Being a leak and seemingly factual as it seems, it would still be best to wait for the official word on what Motorola has for its customers. October 27 is just a couple of days away so the wait shouldn’t be that much of a burden unless of course new leaks suddenly come out in the open.

Hopefully those leaks would tell us more on the Droid Maxx 2 or better yet, other devices that could be showcased during that New York event.
