After reminiscing on all the Back to the Future franchise brought viewers - hoverboards, hopes of seeing flying cars, and Michael J. Fox's most memorable role - it's hard to think of another comedic trilogy with a more significant cultural impact.

Oct. 21, 2015 isn't simply the date Marty McFly and Doc Brown landed into the future for the first time. It's the day anyone who grew up their antics realized how close the film's creators were to telling a true story. Sure, flying cars don't line aerial highways, and some of the technology is farfetched even by our standards, but a lot of other everyday items we use are there. Hands-free video games. Video calling software. Wearable technology, like Google Glass-like eyewear Marty and Jennifer's kids use at the dinner table.

But if there is one indelible mark the series left, it's in Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd's dialogue. They have some of the most memorable one-liners in film history, many which are still used in out-of-context situations.

Let's take a look at the most memorable quotes and dialogue from the Back to the Future trilogy.

Emmett "Doc" Brown

"Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads."

"I'm sure that in 1985 plutonium is available at every corner drugstore, but in 1955 it's a little hard to come by."

"The way I see it, if you're going to build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?"

"Great Scott!"

"If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious shit."

"Next Saturday night, we're sending you back to the future!"

"Good evening. I'm Doctor Emmett Brown and I'm standing here in the parking lot at Twin Pines Mall. It is Saturday morning, October 26, 1985, 1:18 A.M. and this is temporal experiment number one. Please note that Einstein's clock is in precise synchronization with my control watch."

"You're not thinking fourth dimensionally!"

"The time-traveling is just too dangerous. Better that I devote myself to study the other great mystery of the universe: women!"

Marty McFly

"Wait a minute. Wait a minute Doc, uh, are you telling me you built a time machine ... out of a DeLorean?"

"Whoa, this is heavy."

"Wait a minute, Doc, are you trying to tell me that my mother has got the hots for me?"

"Listen, George, if you do not ask Lorraine out then I'm gonna regret it for the rest of my life."

"All right. This is an oldie, but, uh... well, it's an oldie where I come from."

"My name is Darth Vader...I am an extra-terrestrial from the planet Vulcan."

Other memorable quotes

"Chuck. Chuck. It's Marvin - your cousin, Marvin BERRY. You know that new sound you're looking for? Well, listen to this." - Marvin Berry

"Why don't you make like a tree and get outta here?" - Biff Tanner

"This is all wrong. I don't know what it is. But when I kiss you, it's like I'm kissing... my brother. I guess that doesn't make any sense, does it?" - Lorraine Baines

"What are you looking at, butthead?" - Biff

"Last night, Darth Vader came down from Planet Vulcan and told me that if I didn't take Lorraine out, that he'd melt my brain." - George McFly

Memorable dialogue

"Where are my pants?" - Marty
"Over there, on my hope chest." - Lorraine Baines

"Then tell me, future boy, who's President of the United States in 1985?" - Doc
"Ronald Reagan." - Marty
"Ronald Reagan? The actor? Then who's vice president? Jerry Lewis? I suppose Jane Wyman is the first lady." - Doc

"Lorraine, my density has brought me to you." - George
"What?" - Lorraine
"Oh, what I meant to say was..." - George
"Wait a minute; don't I know you from somewhere?" - Lorraine
"Yes. Yes. I'm George McFly. I'm your density. I mean...your destiny." - George

"Sounds pretty heavy" - Marty
"Weight has nothing to do with it." - Doc

"Our first television. Dad just bought it today. Do you have a television set?" - Lorraine
"Well, yeah. You know...we have two of them." - Marty
"Wow! You must be rich!" - Milton Baines
"Oh, honey, he's teasing you. Nobody has two television sets." - Stella Baines

"Calvin? Why do you keep calling me Calvin?" - Marty
"Well, that is your name, isn't it? Calvin Klein? It's written all over your underwear." - Lorraine

"Oh, My God, they found me. I don't know how, but they found me. Run for it Marty." - Doc
"Who? Who?" - Marty
"Who do you think? The Libyans!" - Doc
