Saturday's tilt between Manchester City and Everton features two sides fighting for position near the top of a crowded EPL.

Manchester City sits one point behind cross town rival Manchester United. They are six points clear of third place Chelsea, but with Manchester United playing against 19th place Reading on Saturday, City needs to win this one if they hope to keep pace. More importantly, coach Roberto Mancini needs to keep his job after the UCL debacle. Manchester City plays on Tuesday in the UCL, but with their elimination already locked up, Mancini may choose to let his key players play their third match in seven days and sit out Tuesday's meaningless match against Borussia Dortmund. Their offense has been impressive with Eden Dzeko, Sergio Aguero, and Carlos Tevez contributing 17 of Manchester City's 27 goals on the season. They also have the best defense in the league with only 10 goals against thanks to impressive work from keeper Joe Hart.

Everton is jostling for position with the third through seventh place teams only separated by five points. With 22 points, Everton is behind third place Chelsea by four points, with a win potentially putting them one point behind third and fourth place. Marouane Fellaini leads the team with seven goals on the season.

Prediction: It will be a hard fought match with Everton at home. I think this ends in a drawn 2-2.
