Rajon Rondo has become notorious for not getting along with head coaches and it seems it will stay that way. Or will it?

This comes on the heels of reports from USA Today that Rondo had reportedly revealed in an interview that things are not going all that well between him and Sacramento Kings head coach George Karl.

In the eyes of many, such doesn’t come as a surprise seeing how Rondo had his differences with Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle which eventually led to him opting out after last season.

Karl is seen as no different, seeing that he had a pretty colorful season which saw him clash a bit with resident star player DeMarcus Cousins.

Recall that Karl reportedly had plans of instigating a deal involving the temperamental forward but team owner Vivek Ranadive made it clear that he would rather fire Karl than trade Cousins.

All of that is of course in the past right now with Karl and Cousins seemingly on the right page. But is a new headache in the midst for the veteran NBA coach?

In the video, Rondo was quoted of saying: “It’s not been going too well. We got into a couple arguments the last couple of days. Hopefully, we continue to talk, and it will get better.”

So is George Karl in hot water? Well perhaps but not in the way that many perceive it to be.

Turns out that Rondo pulled a fast one on everyone, retracting his claim and saying that he was simply joking around.

Even George Karl was not buying it, claiming that all is good between them and if not, he would be scared. So in short, the joke was on us!

All that aside, Rondo seems to be pretty much at home in Sacramento. He is pretty much excited to be playing with the other guys on the roster and believes that the Kings could shock some people once the NBA regular season kicks off.

With the light moment out of the way, many are keeping a close eye on how Rondo and Cousins can co-exist.

Rondo and Cousins have been known get out of hand so it will be interesting if both intense players will at some point have differences. And should that happen, the Kings stand to be the ones paying the price for it.

Just the same, Rondo should carry the experience and maturity to show more patience. He has an NBA ring to prove it and with the right clicks, he could be a pivotal player for the Kings this season.
