Although "A Good Day To Die Hard" also known as "Die Hard 5" did not do very well in the box office, it will not stop the making of the next "Die Hard" movie.

In a report by Screen Rant, Fox is developing the next "Die Hard" movie. However, according to plans, the sixth installment of the movie will actually be a prequel. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, the director of "Red" and "Transformers", is joining the team that already includes Len Wiseman, the director of "Live Free or Die Hard."

Deadline reported that the next movie will be set in 1979 with lead star John McLane as an NYPD cop. The prequel will reportedly have a title of "Die Hard Year One." The question of some fans is: Will Bruce Willis be part of the film? Well, it's still not confirmed but the actor might appear on screen as an aged McLane.

Bruce Willis working and playing with a young actor with the same character is nothing new since he's already done it with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the movie "Looper." However, although Willis got along with other actors in the same movie, it can be noted that the same didn't happen with Sylvester Stallone.

Stallone once called out Willis for his ridiculous salary demand for the movie "Expendables 3" but he later apologized for it. Stallone described Willis as "greedy and lazy", and in the end, decided to cast Harrison Ford instead.

Director of "The A Team" and "The Grey" Joe Carnahan agreed with Stallone's statement, so it's not surprising if there will be some delays if the production decided to cast Willis for the sixth installment. On the set of the 2003 movie "Tears of the Sun," Antoine Fuqua called Willis a "pain in the ass", and in more recent news, Woody Allen dumped the actor in his movie and replaced him with comedian Steve Carell.

Thus far, nothing has been set for the next "Die Hard" film, and all that is known is that the storyline is being developed. There have been no further details about the cast and when the movie is expected for release, but as early as now, avid fans of the franchise are already excited about the news.

Even if "A Good Day To Die Hard" did not get many good reviews, it did manage to earn in the box office. With a budget of $90 million, the movie was able to earn more than $300 million worldwide.
