In the wake of hitting a billion-dollar jackpot in the guise of "Grand Theft Auto V," Rockstar has confirmed that it will be churning out yet another sequel - "GTA 6."

"We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do. We don't know what GTA 6 will be, but we've got some ideas," Rockstar Games president Leslie Benzies was quoted by Tweak Town as saying.

"It comes from the idea first. Where is it going to be set is the first question," he went on. "Then that defines the missions; you're doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the missions in."

And now, the question is: when will "GTA 6" be released?

Also, what will it be like?

Talk has it that it will be quite a while before "GTA VI" arrives, with some predicting 2018 as the earliest date.

Further, there also are rumors saying that there may be a lead female character in the sequel - a change from the all-male lead game structure in "GTA V".

These whisperings may have been a result of a combination of a clamor for a female GTA character and a statement Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser made about putting a female in the lead in one of its titles.

"In the future, could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course," he was noted by Know Your Mobile as saying. "We just haven't found the right game for it yet, but it's one of the things we always think about."

"It's about time Rockstar Games showed how well it can deal with introducing a strong female character to that line-up, even as part of a multi-protagonist system like GTA 5," Trusted Reviews said. "We've not had a single strong female supporting character since Catalina in GTA 3, either."

Adding a strong female lead may help Rockstar shake off criticisms about its "sexist attitude" towards the female characters in previous "GTA" iterations. With that, it appears likely that we'll be seeing a female lead in the next version.

Further, the setting of the next "GTA" will reportedly be brand new and will be in an "open world."

"This area could feature, for example, beaches, bars, nightclubs, restaurants, forests, deserts, caves, atlantic wastelands and gulags," Movie Pilot speculated.

Also, the graphics will be, as expected, even better than the current title.
