Months have passed since Tom Thibodeau parted ways with the Chicago Bulls, something that was already known even during the 2014-15 NBA season.

It will be recalled the despite his valiant efforts, Thibodeau had his differences with Bulls management despite the fact that he was able to help the team churn up credible appearances in the past years.

Of course, the 57-year-old coach did turn things around immensely ever since being named the Chicago Bulls head coach back in 2010 but the fact remains that management wanted more than just making the NBA playoffs.

With tensions escalating, Thibodeau formally left the Bulls last May 28, 2015. He was replaced by a former Bulls player in Fred Hoiberg, someone who has carved a name for himself in the college Iowa State.

When word that Thibodeau was rumored to be on his way out, multiple teams were linked to possibly hooking him up. Apparently Thibodeau drew attention for his accomplishments and teams without a head coach in the offseason would do well to consider getting the 2011 NBA coach of the year.

Of course, nothing really came out and Thibodeau has reportedly decided to take some time off instead. But the thing is, the defensive coaching wiz seems to be busy trotting the NBA.

He has reportedly been spotted visiting various ballclubs. The list of teams he has reportedly visited include that San Antonio Spurs, Charlotte Hornets and the Los Angeles Clippers.

While it wasn’t clear what Thibodeau was actually doing during his visits but with him being a prove defensive coaching wizards, he could be contributing a thing or two as far as the teams he visited is concerned.

Striking of the teams he visited is of course the Los Angeles Clippers. He and Doc Rivers go way back, particularly with the Boston Celtics.

Both were together when the Celtics won the 2008 NBA title, and a meeting between the two does spark off some rumors. Could Thibodeau be jumping on board?

The Clippers are obviously bound to benefit from someone like Thibodeau. With the team ranking 15th in defensive efficiency last season, it somehow makes sense to see someone like Thibodeau reuniting with his pal Rivers as they did from 2007-2010 back in Boston.

However, it could be the same case in the other place he has been (San Antonio and Charlotte). Hence and if he is quietly making a return back to the NBA, it will eventually be because of his defensive coaching ability.

With most teams beefing up their coaching staff, Thibodeau could be a good mind to add. Right now however, there is no clear picture if Thibodeau is indeed planning a return to the NBA with only about five months away from active coaching duties.
