During the MineCon event three months ago, fans became definitely excited when Telltale Games and Mojang revealed that they are creating the "Minecraft: Story Mode," an episodic game series wherein players immerse themselves in a story which involves making difficult choices that may alter the course of the game.

Now, building on the hype of one of the bestselling video games of all time, Telltale and Mojang have released the trailer of the "Minecraft: Story Mode" Episode 1: The Order of the Stone.

The trailer of the first episode features the origin of the "Order of the Stone" and reveals the story of a group of legendary heroes -- the Redstone Engineer, the Warrior, the Griefer, and the Architect -- who joined forces to defeat the monster called Ender Dragon. The victory against the evil creature also marked the last of the said heroes who were then left in the pages of history.

Meanwhile, in the present day, the game's protagonist, Jesse, along with his friends, were seen to be great fans of the Order of the Stone. On a twist of fate, during the EnderCon event, everything went chaotic as evil creatures from Ender entered Jesse's world. This event forced Jesse and his friends to start the fight against the dangerous monster that plague their world and set on an adventure to find the Order of the Stone and make their own history.

On the other hand, according to Game Rant, although the trailer featured Patton Oswalt's character Jesse, while highlighting other characters, the absence of the female Jesse is noticeable. The site mentioned that it might have been purposely excluded to avoid confusion.

However, the gaming site added that, as recently reported, players will still be able to choose the gender of their character when the game is released.

Previously, it has been revealed that the game will be available as a physical retail disc also known as "Season Pass disc" where players will have the episode 1 of the game while the proceeding episodes will be downloadable.

Besides this, it has also been rumored that the "Minecraft" game will be supporting Oculus' Virtual Reality headset, Oculus Rift, next year which gives the possibility that the "Minecraft: Story Mode" will also be playable for the device.

"Minecraft: Story Mode" will be launched on October 13, 2015 and will be available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and Mac. The game will also be released for mobile which will be available on October 15, 2015, while the PS Vita and Wii U versions are currently in the works and no official release date has been announced.
