There are rumors that the iPad Pro will become available in November 2015, while the iPad Air 3’s release date has been postponed in 2016.

Yibada reported that the iPad Pro will go on sale in November 2015, one month after its official announcement by Apple. The main reason why the iPad Air 3 will be launched at a later date is to prevent it from cannibalizing the sales of the new iPad Pro. There are, however, reports that the iPad Air 3 might still release in October or November 2014.

Apple stated that the iPad Pro is its most powerful tablet yet. Users who are looking for an Apple tablet with a smaller display can opt for the iPad Mini 4 instead.

Mac Rumors revealed that the iPad Pro has a 12.9-inch display with a pixel resolution of 2732 x 2048 with 226 ppi and a super slim design. It will run on the A9X processor and will come in Silver, Space Gray and Gold. The internal memory ranges from 32GB to 128GB. It has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front shooter. The tablet will also feature a four-speaker audio system, an optional Smart Keyboard and an optional Apple Pencil. Similar to other Apple mobile devices, the iPad Pro has 802.11ac, Wi-Fi, an LTE option, Touch ID and various sensors. The price starts at $799 for the entry-level 32GB Wi-Fi only model, while the 128GB Wi-Fi + Cellular device costs $1,079.

ARS Technica revealed that Microsoft will require iPad Pro users to have an Office 365 subscription if they wish to view and edit documents in Microsoft’s suite of Office apps. According to Microsoft, it does not consider the iPad Pro as a true mobile device because of its hefty 12.9-inch display. It will not receive the same kind of treatment as other Apple products like the iPhone and other iPads. Microsoft allows users of the previous mobile devices to edit and view documents on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for free.

Tech News Today wrote that the iPad Air 3 will have a 9.7-inch screen with a pixel resolution of 4096 x 2160 with 401 ppi and 4:3 aspect ratio. The device may also run on the A9X processor and iOS 9. It may have a 16GB, 64GB and 128GB variants and resistant to dust and water. The tablet may come with an 8-megapixel iSight rear camera and 2.1-megapixel front camera.

Apple has not yet confirmed the official release date but details and updates are expected soon.
