Is the "Expendables 4" cast expanding with the alleged casting of professional wrestling superstars Hulk Hogan and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson?

A year after the release of "Expendables 3," the latest buzz surrounding its sequel involved the casting of the two wrestling icons.

This bit of news sparked when Hulk Hogan himself said that he had spoken with Sylvester Stallone about the sequel.

"We're trying to figure out a way to maybe turn me into the most evil man in the world," CinemaBlend quoted him as saying. "Y'know, Stallone gave me my first break and he's been a great friend."

"We had a great conversation, talking about the possibilities. Can I still run, can I still jump? Well, not as fast or not as high, but I think Hollywood could find a good stunt man to help me out," he said.

Meanwhile, The Rock said that if he gets offered a role in "Expendables 4," he also wants to be a villain.

"I don't want to be on their team and be buddies with them. F*** that noise," he said during a Reddit AMA months back. "I want to hunt every single one of them down and tell them to 'send your soul to heaven cause your ass is mine.'"

Looks like he's even telling scriptwriters how to write his lines.

Since both making those declarations, there has been no further news on whether the duo will truly join the cast. There's also been not much noise on whether "Expendables 4" will indeed be greenlit, although Arnold Schwarzenegger, who appeared in the third installment, thinks that there's still room for another sequel.

"I just think it's a terrific franchise," the actor told USA Today. "I told Sly to write another one or have someone else write another one. A really terrific story."

"Because I think it's a great idea to have an ensemble piece with that many action heroes in a movie," he continued. "Especially if the comedy is really done well. It could be a great story. There's definitely room for another one."

Perhaps Stallone is taking time to decide whether to churn out another sequel or create a really good one, as "Expendables 3" didn't make as much as the previous 2 films.

Should Stallone make "Expendables 4" happen? What do you want to see in this sequel? Who do you want to be cast in the film? Let us know in the comments!
