Recently, the Nexus 5 (2015) or Nexus 5X, made by LG, has been listed on Amazon India. A placeholder was shown instead of a photo, which revealed some of the main components of the smartphone.

Techlo Media cited that the LG Nexus 5X will most likely be powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm MSM8992 chipset, also known as the hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor. The device was also shown to feature 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a 5.2-inch 1080p display with a pixel density of 323 ppi. Other internal memory options reportedly include 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. The smartphone will have a 12.3-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. The Nexus 5X will run on a 2,700mAh lithium-ion battery, allowing a talk-time of approximately 17 hours on 3G networks. While on standby, the handset can last as long as 300 hours on 3G networks.

Phone Arena reported that the new phone was listed as “LG Nexus 5X LG-H791”. There was no photo and price tag provided. The device will become available in three colors, namely Ice Blue, Quartz White and Charcoal Black. Phone Arena also mentioned that the LG Nexus 5X has a single nano SIM, LTE, 3G, Hotspot, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The product measures 15.4 x 1 x 7.6 cm and weighs 177 grams. It will allegedly feature the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

Previously, it was revealed that there will actually be two versions of the Nexus 5 (2015) launched by Google. While the first 5.2-inch model will be made by LG, the second will have a bigger 5.7-inch screen and more powerful specifications, created by Huawei. The Huawei handset is rumored to be called the Nexus 6P. Phone Arena revealed that the Nexus 6P will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and several similar features as the Nexus 5X, such as a 13-megapixel back camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter, fingerprint scanners and Android Marshmallow. The 6P is expected to be more expensive than the 5X when it launches.

Android Police featured exclusive images of the retail packaging for both smartphones. The Nexus 5 (2015) uses a rectangular package that seems to have a cardboard accent sleeve. The sleeve is supposed to state all the information as well as showcase attractive decoration. The 6P almost has the same box packaging, except for its rounded corners. Both packages incorporated a cutout of “X” and “P” to hint on the model inside.

The Nexus 5 (2015) or LG Nexus 5X, as well as the Nexus 6P, are expected to be introduced on September 29, 2015 at Google’s press event in San Francisco.
