Wii U UK Release Date: London's HMV Games Oxford Location to Host Official Launch Event, Hand Out 2 Free Games to First 100 People in Line

When the Wii U launches in the UK on November 30, Londoners will have the opportunity to earn two free games at the price of a little patience.

At HMV Games' Oxford Street location, the retail store will give out give out New Super Mario Bros. U and an additional game of the customer's choice to the first 100 people in line. Past that threshold, an additional 100 people will receive a £5 discount on all Wii U products at the event. Lastly, goody bags will be given out to each of the first 500 patient fans. According to EuroGamer, "Doors open at 11pm on Thursday, 29th November."

HMV games CEO Ewan Pinder says "We're thrilled to be hosting the Official Midnight Launch Event for Wii U at our Oxford Street flagship. [It's] fast-becoming the natural home of all major games launches in the UK.

The Wii U will be available in two flavors: Basic and Deluxe. The Basic version is white and has 8GB of memory, a sensor bar, an adapter, and a HDMI cable. The black Deluxe release sports 32GB of memory, and comes bundled with Nintendo Land, a Gamepad charging cradle and stands for the console and controller.
