With the highly anticipated "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" still months away, the internet has been buzzing with rumors surrounding the film. From Doomsday, to flipper hands zombie Zod, to even the Joker, fans of the movie want to know more.

One popular rumor, however, has now been debunked by the movie's director Zach Snyder. According to Screen Crush, the acclaimed director has officially denied that his son will be playing Batman's sidekick Robin in the film. Nevertheless, Snyder admitted that it is fun to see the rumors and the photoshopped pictures fans have made to make it look like his son Eli will be playing Robin.

The rumor started back in July that Snyder's son would be playing Robin in some flashback sequences. As weird as that may sound, Eli has acted in several of his father's films before. Snyder's son played a young Leonidas in "300" and also played the young Rorschach in "The Watchmen." Thus, the rumor was based on fact.

IGN reports that Snyder has had to get used all the rumors surrounding the movie. According to the director, there have been so many rumors, with some being outrageously out of nowhere and impossible to be true, while some were so spot on Snyder would have to take a step back and really think about it, only to find out that most rumor mongers are at this point merely speculating.

Snyder was also recently interviewed by Yahoo and was asked what he thought about award-winning director Steven Spielberg's statement on how comic book movies will fade out like the westerns of old. Snyder replied that Spielberg may be right, and that it is up to the people behind the films to prove him wrong. The director also states that Spielberg's words just add more pressure on current filmmakers like himself.

Snyder goes on to state that film directors and producers need to be extremely careful on not creating movie after movie just for the sake of getting a product out there. These movies should be treated with care as everyone can criticize their work.

Snyder continued by saying that the best thing behind these movies are the character. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman have been making comic books for decades now, and that even after the comic book movie craze dies down, the characters will stay iconic. According to Snyder, one or two bad movies will never tarnish the reputations these characters have already built.
