The sequel to the "Incredibles" has been hinted at for years now and fans of the movie have yet to see it come to fruition. Fans of Mr. Incredible and his family have been patient since news of a sequel was first published by Disney Pixar way back in March 2014.

This could all change now with super hero movies at the height of their popularity. According to Cinemablend, two particular dates have been confirmed for future projects to be released by Disney. These dates are November 22, 2017 and June 15, 2018. However, Disney is also working on "Cars 3" and another project so these dates could already be taken.

Cinemablend also confirmed that steps have been made for the sequel to see production as writer and director Brad Bird has been attached to the project. Bird stated that he will be returning to "Incredibles 2" after his work is done on "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" and "Tomorrowland."

With Bird attached to the project, fans can start speculating on how the story will progress. This movie could be something big for Pixar as it will mark the first time in a sequel that a main human character will significantly age. While Andy in "Toy Story" could be made an example, he wasn't a main character. In "Incredibles 2," the Parrs will have to age to indicate progress in their story.

Speaking about the plot, iOS9 has several unique theories on how the story might actually progress. First is that at least 10 to 15 years have passed since the ending of the original movie. The Parr kids have now become older and wiser as well as trained to use their super powers to the full extent. Here's where the story twists, Jack-Jack, the youngest of the three Parr kids, is going through puberty and his powers manifest even further. In an act of rebellion against his family, he turns to evil. It would be up the Parrs to subdue Jack-Jack before he can do any harm.

A second theory is that the studio goes for a continuation on what happened in the last film, where the Underminer was attacking the city and the Incredibles are there to stop him. The kids will have to keep learning how to use their powers while a new villain is there to try his evil scheme to rule the world.

Considering the risks that Disney and Pixar like to take with their movies, anything can happen. What do you want to see in the "Incredibles 2?" Let us know in the comments below.
