The latest installment of the long-running "Tekken" franchise is coming to home consoles soon.

Video game giant Namco / Bandai has confirmed that the company is developing the game for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Bidness Etc reports that "Tekken 7" will be the first game of the series that will be using the new Unreal Engine system.

According to Gamenguide, the game's director Katsuhiro Harada will give an official statement on when the game will be officially released for home consoles at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show. "Tekken 7" has already made its arcade debut last February to much acclaim. The game made its tournament debut at EVO 2015, and both Namco / Bandai and tournament sponsor Madcatz were satisfied with the great interest that the game still garnered.

Players have stated that the massive changes that the game has included bring a breath of fresh air to the franchise. Overall, there are 27 new characters, as well as all the returning characters from previous "Tekken" titles. One of the biggest changes to the game is the inclusion of individual super moves that each character has, which are only available once the player is at red life. The introduction of these moves has added a new dimension of comeback factor to the game that wasn't available in previous titles.

The plot has also been given a massive overhaul as the story seems to be darker than past titles. In fact, Namco has dubbed "Tekken 7" as the end of the Mishima Saga, as the story of the three generations of Mishimas finally comes to its conclusion.

Crossmap confirms that the story will heavily involve the original barer of the Devil Gene, Kazumi Mishima, who is the mother of Tekken veteran Kazuya and wife of Heihachi. Those who have already played the game have confirmed that the character is more of an advanced character with more difficult combos and juggle states.

Harada has confirmed that "Tekken 7" will be made available for both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, and possibly the PC. This has made gamers happy as the game was originally slated to be a Playstation exclusive title. It has also been confirmed that the game will not be available for past generation consoles like the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
