A new HTC One A9 smartphone is said to be launching soon. There are rumors that the new device will pack several powerful features

Phone Arena reported that the HTC One A9 will feature a 5-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution, similar to its predecessor. Tests showed that there is no noticeable difference between an FHD and QHD display in terms of graphics. However, a QHD display is known to consume more power than the FHD, which can explain why HTC decided to use FHD. Early photos of the upcoming device also showed that there may be at least four colors available – gold, white, silver and black. Tipster @evleaks also showed an image of the logo of the upcoming handset.

Based on another Phone Arena report, the HTC Aero may be called the HTC One A9. It may be one of the first devices in the world to run on a deca-core MediaTekHelio X20 processor. The device is also rumored to have 4GB of RAM, a rear camera that can support RAW photos and a retail price of $500 to $600. The unit might become available in the United States through carrier AT&T. There is no official release date at the moment, although there are talks that since the Helio X20 processor will not become available until early 2016. Users may have to wait sometime in 2016 to avail of the new flagship model.

Gospel Herald reported that Google started launch the third and final developer preview of the new Android M OS on August 17, 2015. Subsequently, the company officially announced that the new OS will be known as the Android 6.0 or Marshmallow. The actual roll-outs for various handsets were still unconfirmed, but a number of device manufacturers are expected to acquire the new firmware early. Some of the brands that are expected to receive early updates include HTC, LG, Samsung, Motorola and Asus. Particularly, the HTC One M8, HTC One M9 and HTC One M9+ are all expected to receive the update soon. New handsets, such as the HTC One A9, might feature the new OS out of the box.

Trusted Reviews wrote that the HTC One M9 did not continue the momentum set by its successful predecessor. The Taiwanese company, through its CEO, Cher Wang, said that there may also be an HTC One M10, which might come under a different name, to be released early in 2016. It is said to come with a wide array of features and capabilities.

More news and updates on the HTC One A9 are expected soon.
