It is time for a well deserved round-up of Fifty Shades Darker information. The highly anticipated sequel to "Fifty Shades of Grey" looms in the distance, however it is never too late to get the details on the sexy follow-up to the box office smash.

Most recently Showbiz 411 learned, "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" will be filmed simultaneously. "The movies would be made with overlapping productions to save money. This is the way "The Hobbit" and "Lord of the Rings" were done as well."

The initial film in the "Fifty Shades" trilogy grossed $569 million worldwide when it was released last February.

No director has been selected at this time, but it is presumed who ever directs the sequel will also direct the follow-up.

According to IGN, "Glenglarry Glen Ross and "Hannibal's" James Foley is the front runner to direct "Fifty Shades Darker." Foley is tied to the "Fifty Shades" producer, Dana Brunetti, as she also used to work on the political drama, "House of Cards."

E.L. James's husband, Niall Leonard, will write the screenplay for the sequel.

Showbiz 411 also points out the "Darker" sequel is rumored to be more of a "thriller than a sex-romp."

And it appears so. The first image of "Fifty Shades Darker" were released in March. The visual pictures Christian Grey, played by Jamie Dornan, looking into the mirror while wearing a sexy suit. He is putting on a dark masquerade mask concealing part of his face. Mysteriously dark and dangerous has never held more true.

At the end of the month, pictures released a 30-second teaser for the film. It features Christian Grey in a colored- scene as he prepares for what looks to be a ball. He puts on his suit coat, but as he places his masquerade mask over his eyes, the entire scene becomes grey-scale as ominous piano and slow breathing prepares the viewer for the lead up to a simple questions: Are You Ready For Something Darker?

For now fans have until February to answer the critical question... if tall, dark, and handsome is really their thing.

"Fifty Shades Darker" will come hit theaters on Feb. 10, 2017 while "Fifty Shades Freed" will see its release on Feb. 9, 2018.
