It seems LG is not backing down in the smartphone competition, and if rumors are true, the high-end successor of its LG G4 - the LG G5 - will have eye-popping specs and might even be released next year.

In a report by LG G5 Updates, it cited that the next flagship smartphone of LG is expected to be equipped with features that include a 4K Ultra High Definition display with 545 pixels-per-inch, a Sapphire 5.6-inch screen, a 20 MP front and 5.1 MP rear camera, and a reported retina scanner, fingerprint sensor, and wireless charging technology.

Additionally, it is also rumored to be powered with the Snapdragon Qualcomm 810 Chipset Octa-Core 2.9 ghz processor combined with internal memory options of 16, 32, and 64 GB, all expandable up to 128 GB through an external micro SD card.

The battery for the top-end device that is expected to battle the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 7 is also anticipated to be at 4100 mAh.

LG G5 Updates also pointed that the device, which will use the post-marshmallow 2016 Android Operating System, will have a barometer, compass, dustproof, heart rate, shockproof, Peripheral capillary oxygen saturation or spo2, and thermometer sensors.

However, most notable among the alleged specifications is the inclusion of the 3D camera facet besides the Auto Focus, Digital image stabilization, and Dual LED features. According to the report, the 3D capacity, which could be the first in the smartphone industry, will perfectly compliment the 20 MP camera of the device.

According to the same report, the LG G5 concept aims to put together all the specifications that made its product successful from high quality display, top-of-the-line cameras, and other unique features. However, it also added that LG is looking towards integrating the device with other with other "LG peripherals" such as tablets, smartphones, and even LG TV's.

On the other hand, in a comparison made by Vine Report, it reaffirms that the LG G5 will see a significant upgrade from the already successful LG G4 which boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, HD 2k resolution, 16 MP back and 8 MP front camera, 3000 mAh battery, and a 32 GB internal storage supported by micro SD.

Reportedly to be coming in black, white, gold, copper, blue and pink colors, the device, as reported by LG G5 Updates, is expected to be released in Asian markets by early June, in US by the middle of the same month, and in Europe by the its end. Pricing is estimated to be at $800 to $900 on-contract and $399 USD off-contract

LG, on the other hand, has not yet issued any statement regarding the mentioned speculations.
