Despite having a dreadful season in the Italian league, AC Milan can still redeem themselves with a solid UCL run.

They currently sit in second in Group C with five points. Even though they trail Malaga by five points, it is still conceivable for them to not only make the knockout rounds, but to win the group. They need to top Anderlecht and Zenit St. Petersburg in the process, and it can all start Wednesday.

If Massimimo Allegri's side can defeat Anderlecht, and Malaga can defeat Zenit then Milan will have guaranteed a spot in the round of 16. A win and a draw in the other match also clinches a spot for them. They must win, however. It sounds easier than it is however as their first match against Anderlecht at home was a 0-0 affair that saw a frustrated Milan side fail to generate offense.

Anderlecht meanwhile is also in the midst of the run for second place in the group. They cannot clinch anything on Wednesday, but are in desperate need of a win against Milan as their last match will be against Malaga on the road. A win puts them into second place, but a loss could result in fourth place on the table. More importantly, if they lose, then they are automatically out of the race for second. The team has struggled mightily on offense with only one goal in the first four matches and zero in the first three. They need to rectify that in a hurry if they hope to make a stand against Milan at home.

Prediction: It should be another draw as Milan fails to convince. 1-1.

Start Time: 2:45 PM EST
