Zenit St. Petersburg has had a tournament to forget so far with three losses and one win.

Surprisingly however, this side has still managed to maintain itself in the hunt for a second seed in the Round of 16. They have three points, but Anderlecht has four and Milan has five. A win over Malaga and any result in the other match would guarantee their leapfrogging at least one team in the group and take third place heading into the final match. This Russian club was widely expected to take over the group, which they have failed enormously at doing.

They will have their greatest test at home on Wednesday when Malaga comes to town. Spain's fifth best team has looked like its best in this tournament after they put together three straight 3-0 wins to open the tournament. The side was halted in a 1-1 draw to Milan on the road, but this did little to suggest that Malaga could be falling apart.

Malaga knows that a win guarantees them control of the group's leadership. However, a draw coupled with a draw in the other match or a Milan loss also secures the top spot for Malaga. Look for them to be aggressive against the Russian side.

Prediction: Malaga finds tremendous resistance from the Russian side and I think it could be another upset; 2-1 Zenit.
