Selena Gomez is reportedly thinking twice about collaborating with Zayn Malik, who recently got into a Twitter war with her best friend, Taylor Swift.

It all seemingly started when Swift invited Malik's ex, Little Mix's Perrie Edwards, to join her on stage in California on Aug. 15.

The former One Direction member then took to his Twitter account to throw shade at the "Bad Blood" singer for removing her music from Spotify to advocate for artists that need money. He also made it clear that he supports Miley Cyrus, who said the opposite.

In an interview with Time, Swift explained her decision. "[People] can still listen to my music if they get it on iTunes," she said. "I'm always up for trying something. And I tried it and I didn't like the way it felt. I think there should be an inherent value placed on art."

On the other hand, Cyrus admitted to W cover story that she wanted to release her upcoming record for free. "I've made my money," she said. "If no one buys my album, cool. It's fine. I've got a house and I've got dogs that I love. I don't need anything else."

The ex-1D member praised the "Wrecking Ball" crooner by retweeting her post ("the difference is astounding"), ultimately comparing the two female pop stars.

Meanwhile, during an interview with British radio station Key 103 FM Manchester, via MTV UK, Gomez expressed her interest to musically team up with Malik in the future.

"I know Zayn, so it's almost like if he would ever want to reach out, he knows that he could," she said. "So I don't know what he's doing creatively. I think that's so exciting for him to go and figure out what he wants to do, but I don't know what that is."

"I think it'll be pretty exciting but, yes, I love him, he's awesome," she gushed over the newly solo artist.

However, the "Good for You" singer, who did not know about the recent feud, is now supposedly having second thoughts about the Malik collaboration.

"Selena has always been cool with Zayn. She's even considered collaborating with him, but now she's having major second thoughts after he dissed Taylor," a source revealed to Hollywood Life.

"Right now, she says there's no way in hell she would work with him on anything," the source added. "He needs to first apologize to Taylor and [her boyfriend] Calvin [Harris], before she would even consider doing anything music-wise with him."
