DeMarcus Cousins is back in the mix of trade rumors but this time, a report by Howard Beck from Bleacher Report has added some flavor to the topic.

It will be recalled that Cousins was someone that head coach George Karl wanted to seriously traded but would only be scuttled when team owner Vivek Ranadive said that Cousins was not heading anywhere.

Karl and Cousins haven’t exactly hit it off well though Karl has already mentioned before the he is trying to mend ties and fix their relationship. Given the choice, Ranadive would rather keep Cousins and consider firing Karl if it gets to that point of having to choose per a report from ESPN last June.

Just this Monday, however, Beck did reveal an interesting report on the Bleacher Report saying that a vast majority would be in favor of trading Cousins. Despite denying it, Beck mentioned that Karl was included in the ‘vast majority’ pitch.

Regardless of these new trade rumors, Cousins simply downplayed it via Twitter. His reply? A simple "Blah blah blah..."

Not far behind was Vivek Ranadive and Vlade Divac, two people who have time and again downplayed the trade rumors and remain pat that Cousins is not going anywhere.

Curiously, Karl has been silent on the matter (despite the fact that he has a Twitter account too - @coachKarl22).

Regardless, Karl has vowed that he wants to make things work with Cousins despite some awkward moments seen during Summer League. But like Karl, Cousins bares that they are both trying to understand each other. And it can all be summed up through this Instagram post by Boogiecousins.

So right now, it seems like a news revival of that old story that happened back in June before the 2015 NBA Draft. Remember that at time, rumors came out that Cousins was drawing strong interest from the Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets and even the Los Angeles Lakers.

Karl seemed to be targeting Ty Lawson, an old player who flourished under him in exchange for Cousins why the Lakers were willing to trade eventual pick D’ Angelo Russell to get the Boogeyman to don the purple and gold. And as one would guess, all that was shot down by team owner Vivek Ranadive who would hear nothing of it.

A trade could happen though there is no telling when. Right now and at least for Ranadive and Divac, Cousins is untouchable. On that note, Karl may have to try harder to make things work between them or risk getting the pink slip if team owner Vivek Ranadive would be forced to make a drastic move and choose.
