The internet is not happy with Amy Poehler after her show "Difficult People" made an inappropriate joke regarding Jay-Z and Beyonce's 3-year old daughter, Blue Ivy. Some fans are even demanding cancellation of the Hulu-based show.

The character Julie, played by comedian Julie Klausner, tells her co-star she has been called out by an internet troll for an insensitive tweet she sent. The "joke" is the tweet which she then rads aloud, saying "I can't wait for Blue Ivy to be old enough so R. Kelly can piss on her" which receives a mere "Aha" by the other character. Watch the clip on MediaTakeout.com. It appears the internet is not going to let Klausner, the production team, and especially the show's director, Amy Poehler, down easy.

Poehler is especially under a microscope after Klausner spoke of Amy's heavy involvement in any and every aspect of the show - meaning the offensive joke is not a mere oversight in the scripting department.

Klausner told Entertainment Weekly, "Amy could not have been more hands-on. She did not only give notes on every script, she gave notes on every draft of every outline. She weighed in on casting videos, cast roles. She weighed in on production matters."

She also added, " She came up with the title. She would give notes on every single edit, not only of the shows but of the promos, the trailers. She would be involved in every stage of the process in a way that she would go above and beyond."

Twitter has since boiled over with tweets from outraged fans.

@JamilahLemieux "A joke about R. Kelly assaulting Blue Ivy is not a joke targeting him. It's making light of what he did and punching down at his victims"

@OhTheMaryD "Amy Poehler would've never let this joke fly about a three year old White girl. NEVER"

@MrsThirdWrd "Amy Poelher thinks its funny to produce a show speculating the molestation and rape of a minor how sick! As a mother you should be ashamed!"

@GeauzGabby ""I can't wait until Blue Ivy is old enough for R. Kelly to piss on her." You and your new show are both disgusting @smrtgrls ‪@amypoehler"

@CynFinite "'Is Blue Ivy old enough for R. Kelly?' @smrtgrls, how do you have a site dedicated to girls, and OK that line?"

Outraged fans have also called out Smart Girls, the 43-year old comedian's website that seeks to empower young women through volunteerism, activism and culture. The Smart Girls community describes themselves as, "Funny, focused, and powerful, Smart Girls seeks to help future women channel their intelligence, imagination, and curiosity into a drive to be their weird and wonderful selves." The internet definitely sees "The Difficult People" sketch as doing the exact opposite.

At this time Amy Poehler, Laura Klausner, nor her production staff have apologized or made a comment.
