Ubisoft's open-world first-person shooter game, Far Cry 4, was highly successful and has sold 7 million units at the end of 2014, according to Gamespot. With achievements such as this, will there be a fifth instalment of the series? What improvements can be made for Far Cry 5?

There is still no information or any indication that would suggest that Ubisoft is developing "Far Cry 5." However, fans have already made a long list of suggestions on where the developers could make improvements.

According to the Ubisoft Blog, Far Cry 4 has pushed the limits when it comes to the fun factor. The serious concern that developers should look would be the improvement of the game's open-world experience.

Another call for concern would be a relatable, new and unique protagonist. According to Movie Pilot, Ubisoft needs to stop using the same archetype of character on their games. Ajay Ghale, the Far Cry 4 protagonist, was said to be a cut from the same cloth as Jason Brody of Far Cry 3 and Aiden Pierce of Watch Dogs.

Furthermore, the report stated that so long as the great combat system stays, and maybe improved, gamers would still follow the next instalment. The writer couldn't care any less of the game's setting, it could be in space or in a jungle filled with dinosaurs, and the game would still be enjoyable so long as the protagonist has an interesting narrative.

More improvements are needed, according to IB Times. The report pointed out a lot of aspects needing some upgrades. One of which is a responsive weather system. This means that a change in the weather should affect the gameplay. Torrential rains leading to flash floods and strong gusts of wind toppling over a vehicle are good examples of such changes.

Since "Far Cry 4" boasted a magnificent open-world, the next instalment should be bigger and better. With high emphasis on a bigger world, new forms of transportation should be added as well. Boats, cars, and even gliders were already showcased on the previous instalments, maybe a helicopter could be on "Far Cry 5."

In a survival game, weapons are gamer's best friends. While already armed to the teeth with a long list of guns, a few more addition wouldn't hurt. The players should also have the option to enhance the said weapons using the crafting system seen in the last two instalments.

Still, no news on "Far Cry 5" is available. Whether it's coming out or not, all fans can do is hope. Keep posted for more details.
