Reminder! Matters of Rihanna's heart are not to be messed with or she will publicly shame a dude who tries to.

Memphis Grizzlies basketball player Matt Barnes alluded to the fact that he could have something heating up with the Barbadian beauty on Aug. 16 to TMZ. However, Bad Gal RiRi is clapping back at rumors about her and the "fictitious" beau.

The "B***h Better Have My Money" singer then took to her Instagram account to post a screenshot of the athlete's quick interview with a number of hashtags that were all the proof one needed to debunk the slanderous lies.

"#bishwhere #thedevilisaliar #shesnotthatintoyou #shesnotintoyouatall #shesneverevenmetyou #thisactuallyhurtmyfeelings #defamationofcharacter," she wrote.

This comes after Barnes told TMZ on Sunday morning that he and Rihanna are pals, who could be turning into lovers. "Rihanna is my friend right now, so we will see where it goes," he said.

When the cameraman asked him if there is a future between the two, he replied, "Yeah, I think it just passed the crush stage, just a little bit though," with a quite starry-eyed expression on his face.

Barnes previously played for the Los Angeles Clippers before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. When asked if the pair would be able to work out a long-distance relationship, he laughed, saying, "Nah, she's rich. We'll be alright."

The basketball player finally shut down the interview after he was asked where the couple went on their first date. A source close to the situation alleged the two had already been on a few dates together, but he admitted those allegations were all speculation.

Perhaps the source was wrong on this one. Rihanna's hashtags do not lie, right? Apparently so.

Although the "American Oxygen" crooner fired back at the rumors, it is not over until the Rihanna Navy has its way with Barnes. Her loyal band of followers quickly lashed out at the athlete on Twitter for spreading false claims -- they seemed to know their idol would come for him, as their tweets surrounded the social media "funeral" for the small forward.

Such a shame, because he was a promising basketball player. Maybe he should of just got in line after Lewis Hamilton, Karim Benzema and Leonardo DiCaprio.
