Various gaming controllers have been developed over the years with the same goal of achieving the ultimate gaming experience. With this, Silicon Valley-based gaming control gear developer Titanium Falcon Inc. launched the design of its flagship product, the Smart Ring called Talon.

According to Titanium's website, "Talon is a smart ring which uses motion or gestures to play games or control Apps on smart devices such as phones, tablets, smart TVs, VR headsets, smart watches, smart IoT devices." It also added that compared to traditional motion control gaming hardware which can be clunky, the Talon is "a tiny finger ring" which also takes its user from 2D touch screen to 3D touch-less space.

Game Spot also reported that the smart ring uses "Bluetooth Low Energy technology and 9-axis motion control sensor that will enable the controller connect to smart devices." The report added that the Talon is just around 3.8m thick equipped with two action buttons, accelerometer, gyroscope and compass, and should be compatible with various game genres like shooting, racing and sports.

"Currently, in order to play motion-controlled games, consumers must purchase all the expensive hardware: TVs, Wii, Xbox, or Kinect are just a few of them," Titanium CEO and founder Hujuan Guo told Game Spot. Guo continued that they believe that their product could have major implications on the gaming industry, even citing that the "smart ring will change the way users play games forever."

However, in order to mass produce the smart ring and make it a reality, Titanium, which is founded just a year ago, is looking for support from fans. They will be launching a crowdfunding campaign through Indiegogo.com this month and will be targeting to pool $300,000, Game Spot explained.

The company is looking to sell their wearable tech product in a price range of no more than $100.

"Talon will enable gamers to play games instantly at any place and time, free hand, while on the go," Guo added via Yahoo. "Users can play mobile games or control applications even when they are doing other things such as running, cooking, taking the bus and so on."

As pointed by Game Spot, Titanium Falcon's Talon is a new addition to the increasing number of video game controllers. Earlier this year, Oculus VR unveiled its own controller for the Oculus Rift which it named Oculus Touch while the company is also making further investments in the virtual 3D hand-tracking space.

Yahoo highlighted that Titanium Falcon, that won the 1st Place in the Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Pitch Fest, has become a pioneering company in developing ground-breaking smart gear.
