It seems like the odds are not in this poster's favor.

Even (font) kerning won't save the latest promotional material of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2". The newest Hunger Games countdown poster is making entertainment headlines today as an accidental and unfortunate placement of the "C" expletive could be seen across Katniss' face, upon a closer inspection.

The newest promo is actually an edit of the "Faces of the Revolution" character poster released last July 7. The landscape poster features a close-up of Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) with her face covered in red paint in the shape of a Mockingjay set against a black background. It is evident that the poster was meant to be serious and intense. Layout-wise, the words appear to be an overlay with the word "UNTIL" inserted between "100" and "DAYS," creating a partition between letters.

While the editing team behind it probably meant well, keen observers have easily spotted the apparent boo-boo. Readers are wondering how the quality control team could have overlooked such a grave error.

The movie trailer was announced to be released on a rather cryptic date as well (June 9)- 6/9. With the latest misfortune surrounding the franchise, fans can't help but connect the two events. As of this moment, the poster has been taken down but as everyone probably knows by now, nothing ever really goes away on the Internet. Variety has kept a record of the photo for netizens to see. You can check out the image here.

The poster was released as a 100-day countdown to the last and final instalment of "The Hunger Games" saga film. Editing failure aside, the build up and promotion of "Mockingjay Part 2" started powerfully like the previous movies with the first teaser creating a crazy hype among Hunger Games fans and movie enthusiasts alike.

"Nothing good is safe while Snow's alive," Katniss says, at the start of this thrilling first trailer. "And I can't make another speech about it. Snow has to pay for what he's done," she adds.

Katniss in warrior gear and Annie and Finnick's wedding opens the trailer with Katniss' voiceover in the background. Judging from the first trailer and the succeeding (and most recent) one, the upcoming movie is going to be an intense and well-deserved conclusion to the saga - that is, if fans could look past the "error."

A representative from Lionsgate has yet to comment.
