The highly anticipated reboot of "Star Wars: Battlefront" will soon hit the market, but fans might not be able to see the single player campaign in the video-game franchise, Game Rant has learned

According to Game Rant, "Star Wars: Battlefront" will focus on multiplayer gaming, which leads to the removal of the traditional single player option. But most fans speculate that the move was a way for the game to be released in the high-market holiday season.

However, a recent interview by Game Spot with EA Head Peter Moore shed light on the issue, revealing that removing the single player campaign is really part of the plan as they deem and recognize that the market and future of gaming is gearing towards 'multiplayer-centric' games.

"You make a decision, years out, and you plan for what the world looks like when a game ships in two or three years. That's about the intuitiveness about the executive producer, and his or her vision for the game," Moore told Game Spot.

Moore further supported his vision of looking towards the future of the game, citing his experience when they worked on the "Star Wars: The Old Republic" video game which they started as a subscription-based game but eventually ending into a free-to-play with microtransactions as trends and demands have changed when the game was ready for release.

Moreover, when asked why they would be dropping the single player option when triple-A games that have both the single and multiplayer option tend to sell better, Moore responded saying that "few people actually play the single-player on these kinds of games. That's what the data points to."

Nonetheless, as reported by Game rant, even though "Star Wars: Battlefront" will not be featuring a single-player campaign, there will be stand-alone missions that can be completed playing solo.

The report added that since there have been mixed reactions during the revelation of "Star Wars: Battlefront" with people criticizing its lack of space battles which is odd for a galactic-themed game, and some praising it for its impressive graphics and scope, the lack of single-player option might draw the ire of players. This might come especially that previous versions of the game have single-player options with "Star Wars: Battlefront II" even having a cohesive story for the single player mode.

"Star Wars: Battlefront" will be released this Nov. 17, 2015 and will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
