Fans of the NBC show "Constantine" would be happy to know that there is life after cancellation for the expert in the dark arts.

The Hollywood Reporter  announced that Matt Ryan will reprise his role as John Constantine in the newest season of "Arrow," which is a TV series of the CW Network. Constantine will appear on the fourth episode of the season, which is titled "Haunted."

However, this does not mean that "Constantine," the TV show, will be picked up by the CW. While this may happen in the future, Comic Book.com reports that the crew and cast's contracts lapsed last June and they have been let go to pursue other endeavors. This guest starring role is more of a one off type thing - a fact Ryan said in a video thanking his fans via his Twitter account.

In the short video, Ryan expresses his thanks to his fans and promised that he would reveal further news regarding the show as soon as he got it. He also reveals that there hasn't been any news on shipping "Constantine" to any other network, so the show is basically over for now.

Since "Constantine's" cancellation, many avid fans of the show have taken up the cause to encourage other networks to pick up the rights. One of these fans is none other than Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen on "Arrow." Fans even started an online petition to save the show.

The confirmation of Constantine's guest starring role on "Arrow" was also talked about by "Arrow" executive producer Marc Guggenheim who praised Ryan, saying that his portrayal of John Constantine was something he admired while watching the show. With the introduction of magic and mysticism to "Arrow," the producer felt that Ryan's guest starring role is the perfect way to introduce the concept. Guggenheim goes on to say that fans of the now cancelled "Constantine" will be very happy with what they have in store for the character when he meets with Oliver.

So far, Ryan has only been confirmed for the one episode of "Arrow" Season 4, but viewers have seen that characters have returned from worse fates to "Arrow." Fans of the show believe that Constantine will be helping Oliver with some of the magical aspects of the League of Assassin's, especially with those that deal with the mysterious Lazarus Pits.

"Arrow" will return to the CW starting October 7 at 8pm.
