While Real Madrid seems to be headed back into contention for the Spanish League Championship, their season has been a mitigated disaster.

They got off to a slow start and then reports of Ronaldo's unhappiness added to the turmoil. It appears that he is back on the offensive against his club as he has stated disgust about how they handled his injury against Levante. In that match he was injured in the eye and apparently expected Madrid to go after the other club's players and their moral attitudes. But the club failed to do so and it seems Ronaldo remained unhappy. He is Madrid's strongest asset with 19 goals in all contests this season. He broke a two game scoreless streak for the squad and should be back to his torrid scoring pace.

Their rivals on Saturday will be Atletico Bilbao, a club that started poorly but has won its last two matches to claim 14 points. Problems with Fernando Llorente hurt the team early on, but he has stayed put and barely produced for the team. Fortunately Artiz Aduriz has produced eight of the teams 16 goals and has carried them offensively.

Prediction: Real Madrid is home and hopefully confident. Bilbao has won once in five tries on the road so the odds definitely favor Madrid. 3-1 Madrid.

Start Time: 4 p.m. EST
