No two teams find themselves in more desperate positions headed into week 12 of the Premier League than that of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

It is true that they do not sit in last place, but at 7th and 8th place their position is rather precarious as one-third of the season comes to an end.

Arsenal is in a more difficult situation as they have not won a match in two weeks. Their 2-0 loss to Schalke 04 back on October 24 seemed to push the team a few steps back and recently they lost 2-1 to Manchester United, tied Schalke 2-2 in another, and tied 3-3 with Fulham.

The Fulham match was particularly displeasing since they blew a 2-0 lead and had to fight back from down 3-2 to secure one point. Olivier Giroud is starting to score some goals, but only four players have scored three goals for this side; no one has more than three goals this season. Arsenal's offense currently ranks seventh in goals scored with 18 and are fifth in goals against with 11 conceded.

Tottenham Hotspur has won two and lost two in its last four, including defeats to Chelsea and Manchester City. They have allowed 16 goals and their defense is the middle of the league. Jermain continues to lead their offense with five goals and two assists which Gareth Bale has three goals. He has not scored in two premier league matches but is a constant threat.

Prediction: These teams match up relatively well and home has not been a huge advantage for Arsenal this season. Look for a 2-2 draw between the two sides.
