Magazine Xbox World will be shutting down soon, but not before it spills some last minute beans on all it knows about the next-gen console dubbed 'Xbox 720,' or codename Durango. In its second-to-last issue, the magazine featured an 8-page spread detailing what the Xbox 720 could be like.

"Xbox World has been at the cutting edge of Durango coverage for over 12 months. Unless something really dramatic changes, everything we reveal in our penultimate issue will be revealed long before E3 in June," said Xbox World editor-in-chief Dan Dawkins told CVG.

The magazine speculates that the next-gen Microsoft console will most likely be called 'Xbox' and the listed specs seem to be the ones from the Durango dev kits. If these specs are what Microsoft sticks with, then the next-gen Xbox will be sporting a quad-core CPU and 8GB of RAM.

The Xbox 720 will use Blu-rays for increased storage capacity, directional audio, have a TV input so you can watch and record broadcast TV through the Xbox. The console will also help launch Kinect 2.0, which is said to be so accurate it can even read your lips.

Xbox World even took the liberty of creating a mockup image of what they think the Xbox 720 would look like.

"We built ours with the same glossy face and patented VapourMG magnesium alloy Microsoft uses for its Surface tablet, and modelled the silver band after its new 'Wedge' touch keyboard and flexible Arc Touch mouse," wrote Xbox World. "The future will be black, sharp and curved."

The mockup shows describes the Xbox 720 has having four USB 3.0 ports, touch-sensitive buttons, and a removable hard drive.

All of this is still speculation until Microsoft releases some official hard facts about the Xbox 720, but CVG does point out that Xbox World has been relatively reliable in the past.

The Xbox 720 is expected to be revealed at E3 2013 and release sometime during fall 2013.
