Many retail giants nationwide are lining up to start their Black Friday sales and lure in customers with blockbuster sales, but Staples is looking to get a jump start days ahead of the competition.

The office supply, electronics and computer retail chain--which has 1,871 retail stores in the U.S. and Canada--is offering several new promotions and offerings for the Black Friday kickoff of the holiday season.

Karen Pevenstein, a spokesperson at Staples, told Latinos Post this week that Staples was "excited" about their new Black Friday promotions and deals, which will be available all week.

Starting Nov. 18, Staples is making it easier for its customers to shop with special deals in store and online during the week leading up to Black Friday and into Cyber Monday, Nov. 26, Pevenstein said.

"Customers can visit Staples.com early and often to take advantage of the saving all week in-store and online," she added.

Staples retail stores will be open one hour earlier on Black Friday, which is Nov. 23, featuring Early Bird deals starting at 5 a.m.

Mobile users will also be able to take advantage of special deals from 11 p.m. Thanksgiving night to 12 p.m. on Black Friday, with unique offers when they visit Staples.com on their smartphone.

"We can't predict the season, but Staples has a wide assortment of products, including hot technology and accessories at great values to get customers excited about coming to our stores or visiting Staples.com during the holiday season," Pevenstein told Latinos Post.

Among those deals customers can expect to find this Black Friday include Early Bird Deals (from 5am until 12 p.m. in stores) featuring select HP, Windows 8-based PCs for $299.99 and up--which add up to more than $200 in savings, the retail chain says--and a $20 gift card with the purchase of a new Kindle Fire HD after using an Easy Rebate.

Staples.com has also expanded its product assortment online to include LCD and Plasma televisions, LED televisions and game consoles including Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation3, Sony PS Vista, Ninetendo Wii and Nintendo DS.

And, for the first time ever, Staples will be stocking the shelves on Black Friday with brand-new products. Among them will be new Windows 8-based devices like new laptops and tablets with the '8 Was Easy' program--including free personalized training and support to get customers' new Win 8 technology up and running. Staples will also offer customers free data transfer for devices regularly priced at $699 or higher.

For those looking to spice up the holidays with a little seasonal décor, Staples.com Holiday Center will also offer customers a chance to purchase live Christmas trees.

Shipped directly to the doorsteps of customers, Pevenstein said that trees ordered through Staples.com are all hand inspected, cut 24 hours prior to shipment and sent in a sturdy, moisture resistant box to ensure they arrive fresh as possible for people looking for an authentic, old-fashioned touch to the holiday season.
